A fabulous antique butterfly broochA beautiful brooch, late Victorian in the shape of a butterfly. This wonderful piece has diamonds on the abdomen of the insect, these measure 3. 4, 2mm and 1. 4mm old cuts. Rubies are set as the butterfly's eyes. Each wing is cobalt blue enamel and decorated with tiny rose cut diamonds across both wings. The brooch is yellow gold, no hallmarked as not required for this period, tests as 15 carat gold.
